Just had a family BBQ and had some alcohol, my rule is one pint every few months or years and I am happy. Since I drive a lot, I never drunk alcohol, and since its a day off and not on call. Had some beers to celebrate a bad week at work.

Work is too hot, and thank-goodness not out on delivery. I am sit in front of a computer doing the admin stuff I need to, but feeling the heat as I do so. Not much going on actually, as I been playing a lot of Age of Conan and also sitting down and writing out things I need to do.
Cam. Nothing much going on if anything, and glad that's the case. Since only interested in Mortals, but feel something needs to get done by my character or I get bored. Memo to myself go out and find a plot and hug it to death.
Studying. Need to do a lot more than going it can wait until tommorow.

Holidays. Decided since never have any money I will maybe go and visit Orkney maybe for a two-day tour. Can save up for that or use the credit card and pay that back fast.

Well I am talking about Firefly the TV Series or Firefly the Wargaming Rule-set? Actually it's Firefly the TV Series, I am just started watching this. I have watched 6 so far and I am enjoying each of them. The sense of humour and the character interaction is good, also the setting of it is good.

Everyone is away out on delivery, the manager has left for his holidays. So the lights are off, the music up loud and poor Derek has nothing to do for 4 hours plus until everyone is finished. So what I am going to do, well I think I look at new video cards for the computer at home.

Very much alive, and feel very good for a nice eight hour sleep last night. First time I done that in a few years. So working overtime on my day off, getting very bored since I done all my work for today, and started tommorow's by looking at forms I normally do tommorow today.
Just bought some DVD's online, one is "Firefly", the other is "The Triangle" and the other one was a free gift or something. Room has been started to clean up and have several cardboard box's being taken to the recycling place on Sunday. NEed to finish off the room, and get IT books into one place. Then I can do this project I needed to do two weeks ago. Complete it and then send it in.
Work was boring but then had to deal with a van breakdown, time to sort out 1 hour with about six different phone-calls to people. Now I am still going to get finished on time, so happy with that.

Actually watched it last on the TV last night, memory is so bad cannot remember if that was actually the name. I enjoyed it so far, but very cheesy, then again Knight Templars have always interested myself and the action against them by the Pope. Now it was not bad, but waiting to see if this develops or not to a better series.

Well Mortals went very well last night, and also thanks for a ST actually to do what's in someone's Downturn. Enjoyed myself for the first time in a while, and the conversation about X-files and emails was amusing. Also through in polar bears comments and you know your at a good game.

Well just waiting for something to be done, if not done then it sums up my opinion on something!

This week has been boring, and they changed the criteria on something yet again at work. Also there new idea will go down like a lead balloon, since the rebellion will be lead by myself. Since I don't have time to wait for people to get back from Elgin. I want out by 3pm and if not, I be working my time for the next 5 months to reinforce it.

Cursing the German Football Team no-one else, since the reason is I had Turkey in the office sweep-stakes and if I had made the final I would have been £30 better off. Just silly things we do at work for sport competitions over the year.

Just doing some networking protyping, and have the basic network set up, just needed to add the IP numbers for the networks. But today I have hit a break-wall in doing this, must go back and re-read networking numbers and subnetting. I don't know why nothing is working out, so going for a coffee and look at them later.

Well today, sorted out the major problem for tomorrow, lucky I spotted it or I turn up and go what the hell to-do. Very tired now, not sure why, but it would help if people on the lowest volume of mail this year finish before there time so I can go home, not after it. Why is it always myself having to wait for people to finish a round, no-one else does, and probably why I am in a very bad mood currently with everyone in the world except one.

Father's Day

Treated my father and mother to a meal today to celebrate "Father's Day". I took them to Harry Ramsdem since they wanted to try out the meals, which is very good value. Parents were happy with the food amount, nice staff and also that I was paying for it.

Without Power for a while

The power was switched off to the house today, so they could wire in the Shower and also the fan unit in the bathroom. I found going out with watching TV and computer was strange, for the first hour. Then I picked up a course book and read it completely, now if I can do that in four hours, I can do the next over the next two days.
Power is now back on, so I could cook food. If needed I would have got some burgers and grilled them on the bbq. Checking my email account and cursing "Play.com" about something.

Oh Well.

Know something was going to happen, and it did. No great experience there, good luck to that person. I feel I am going to explain something why I moved back from the Cam officer experience about two years ago. Being told that someone had greater independent experience for a position. I am sorry but I play independent games myself but I am applying for Cam not independent games.
Also finding out more thing's. I don't mind helping people out, but I refuse to do so without at least being thanked.
So overall not really interested in most of the venue's since cannot make games. Tried to do a lot with some of my characters, but feel nothing really happens at all. I just keep my one character and see what happens in the next few months, if not I can easily retire that, and wait until my membership runs out next year.
There is something missing from the chronicle, it's not the storytellers fault. I feel there is no national chronicle at all, it's more the fault of the setting by white wolf.

Sent home from work

First time ever in my life I have been sent home from work due to illness. I had a sore eye this morning and give it a eye-bath thinking just a hair in the eye. However when I got to work people noticed the rash on my face and how badly my eyes were sollen and red. Boss took the decision to send myself home.
Went to the clinic and found out I have a small growth on the that can be treated with drugs, and my face and eye have a slight infection. Now I can watch TV ok but the computer is proving more difficult since the glasses hurt my eyes.

Enjoyed yesterday afternoon, since I spent all day playing Age of Conan. Only hassle had to do a repair first on it, due to problems with some database entries in it. Patch was not bad for the game only about 500 mg, while the database was 1.29 g update. So managed to get my test character to level 15.

Currently doing that to stop myself sending an e-mail reply to customer services. Since it's an argument we have had with them for the last year. I know I am in the right with postal act and delivery specification, so they can get stuffed with that idea. Leaving my line-manager to deal with it, otherswise the e-mail would be just be "*" to cover all the swears within it.

Today is mostly working out and sorting out the protype network I have to do. Not a lot, but when you find a problem in the exercise then you know it's not going to be easy. So I have write to them, and ask the questions to solve it.

Food Pick-me-up

I went into Ashers and had myself the triple Club sandwich with Chicken. Since I always found it a good pick-me-up after a hard-week at work. Yesterday was not bad, had an A&E situation when a speck of dust went into someone's eye. Washed it out with eye-wash, but needed the A&E to get it out right, and also apply the necessary drugs to deal with it. You would think that human evolution would solve the problem but no.
Watching the last three of Regensis before looking for Series 2 within the UK. Fingers crossed I can get it, or I just buy a multi-player format DVD player.

I weighed the next course books, and they come to a grand total of 7kg's. That's just 6 books in total, most are on routers and network design.

Amazon order is on it's way, so I can properly start learning how to design computer networks at a more advanced level. Spent £2.5k on a laptop for someone at work, since I was going you can get cheaper but he wants that one with all the options. So had to show him how to order it on-line, and deal with customer service.
Work was good, the meeting was not bad, turned up an hour late. However going mail had to be delivered works well to get you out of trouble for time-keeping.

Worried about my mother

My mother has regained must strength from the stroke she suffered several years ago. This was an diabetic one, and with the treatment is has kept it about normal. However she felt unwell, I felt guilty since I had the local bug going around and thought I had passed it onto her. Now after blood-tests she has somehow been suffering from E-coli, so now slightly worried about her. Since the treatment fingers crossed will work, but after the strokes her immune system has never been good. Also feel guilty it might have been myself that caused this.
